sooo, my sweet friend shannon has lead me to yet another fantastic idea..

a week's worth of daily simple pleasures..

how sweet!!

if you know me at all, you probably know my temptation is to brainstorm them all right now.. and not only would i list 7, but 17..

and of course i couldn't wait to look through all my recent photos to exemplify -or inspire- and then confirm each one!

..but, i will refrain.. i will chill and be patient and let tomorrow's simple pleasure reveal itself in due time..

i officially have two weeks off!!!

...i'm not even sure what to do with myself!!

i just did my budget and was able to stretch the paycheck i just received through the end of the month (including a not-so-neccesary-car payment!!)

..sooo, i'm resisting the urge to visit barnes and ask for hours i don't really need..

while i enjoy working and would love the extra cash, i think it might be a good idea to force myself to slow all the way down!!

..maybe now i'll actually read some of the books i've been checking out from the library! :)

i have rising second graders this summer and, let me tell ya, the first few days were a rude awakening!! (lots of tears!! --theirs, not mine)

..but, i've since rediscovered stickers and the age-old art of positive reinforcement, so we're getting along much better now! :)
