Wisdom...

This verse about wisdom has been on my mind and heart the last several days.

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5)

Life is so full of tough-stuff.

Apparently desiring wisdom is half the battle.

I guess that goes for obedience too

and God's work in our lives...

wanting it is half the battle,

because "everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds..." (Matthew 7:8)

so much available to us, just for asking.

(I don't know about you, but I needed to be reminded of this. Glad this came out. Sure don't want to miss out on being still to think and pray and ask for good things...)

sweetest moment ever.

New perspective:

Marriage is a whole new world... a whole new state of being.

(My mind can hardly contain it at times!)

One can know all there is to know about marriage

and actually know nothing.

(Marriage is more [and better] than I ever could have thought or imagined it to be! Thinking about it, planning for it, and hearing others' experiences all fall short of actually experiencing it! And I love that.)

New thought:

I think knowing God is much the same...

we can know all about Him

without actually knowing Him.

Kind of a scary thought.

This is reminding me of a conversation I had with Meggan not so long ago -the actualization of a thing is so much MORE than any anticipation/prior knowledge of that thing!

wedding practice (Fri.3/19)

the day was busy with lots of preparations and setting up the reception-room

the girls outdid themselves throwing me a lingerie shower...

it was amazing...

the space,

the food,

the gifts,

the FRIENDS.

wow.

overwhelmingly good.

hope i'm half as good of a friend as these three have been to me!!

out with the old, in with the new...

but I'm thinking the new chapters needed some new style :)
