the invitations are here!! (wed.1.27)

and they're so great I can hardly stand it!!

love him, huh?

we worked hard this night getting the envelopes embossed and stuffed so the invitations would be ready to mail by the weekend!!

with this many hands it didn't take long

and we still had time for coffee and dessert :)

monday nights... (mon.1.25)

Since the beginning of January,

Monday nights have been Mom and I's planning night.

it's been fun to say the least.

this week she tried out the silverware wrapping....

with much success I'd say :)

so very thankful for so much help with all of this!

(seriously an answer to prayer!!)

wedding cake plans with grandma cook...

she's totally up for making what will be our wedding cake

+ two of each of the other flavors to make sure there's enough to go around!!

now we just have to solve the issue of freezer space!

more than wedding planning..

i'm really thankful that along with all the wedding-planning,

we get to enjoy some good marriage-prep!!

we took our marriage assessment sunday before church

...repetitive of course

...scantron style

but obviously a very good place to start some good conversation!

looking forward to those conversations

and to dealing with as many issues as possible this side of the line... ♥

10 weeks and counting....

(you know you're serious about something when you spend your date-night on it! ...last night j. and i spent our precious friday night around the kitchen table at his house working on invitation size, style, and wording..... seriously fun times! ;)

I've been listening to this memoir on audio while I drive.

excellent read!!

heart-wrenching and quite captivating.

the author is basically telling stories from her childhood

with a alcoholic father and mostly impoverished lifestyle

with three other siblings and a looney, lackadaisical mother.

I'm only about half way through,

so maybe I'll have more to say about it once I'm done.. ♥

glad granny got to come home for Christmas.

and i'm really glad it didn't happen until the first weekend in january so jeremy and i could go!!

american girls.. (Wed.12.30)

these girls' grandmother actually won that American Girl doll at the end of summer when we had our AG party...

she was so excited and said she'd save it for her granddaughter for Christmas.

i was impressed.

she also said she'd bring the girls in after Christmas to take a picture with the doll... and she did.

wow.

simple enough, but i was still impressed some more...
