whispers [in red]

Rescue Complete

Your faithfulness
overflows.
I cannot comprehend its
fullness.

Creator.
Father.
God.

You are Good.
You give us
all we need.
And then:
Abundance.

Touch-
a comfort
to me.
You know.
You provide.
[Perfect timing].

I hush myself.
You prod:
Speak, Child.
Where's your
Faith?

I hold back.
You encourage:
Hug. Speak. Embrace.
Believe.

I speed through.
You temper:
Peace, Daughter.
Rest.

I strive.
You remind:
You're mine.
I'm already
Pleased.

But I must.
It's needed.
I must
prove
my
worth,
my
value.

You're mine.
It's finished.
Cease
Striving.
Your Rescue is Complete.

{Thankful to get some margins this morning. Need more stretches of stillness.}
Also: Props to my encourager Jill who helps remind me to 'cease striving. wait and see how He rescues.'

1% change #1: walk-time...

Naptime Diaries strikes again...  :)

this time she's talking about making some 1% changes
(and blogging about them weekly)

Here's the jist of it:
...one percent changes is a new blog project to encourage and connect other women as they make one percent, baby changes, to slowly and surely walk towards a life of healthiness and walk away from unreasonable expectations of ourselves. The idea is, if we're making tiny and yet still costly changes daily (or weekly! or monthly!) that stick, sooner or later we'll find ourselves healthier women - able to live our lives a bit fuller and a lot less focused on how unhealthy we feel.
Read more from her first week

And, if you're up for it, write your own post(s) and link up!

So here's my itty bitty teeny weeny 1% [physical] change:

Take some walk-time at least three times per week.

that's all.

15-30 minutes 3xs per week (or more)...

I couldn't have better motivation...

from the absolutely gorgeous weather

to the nice environment at work

and the heart-health it promotes

and the prayer or conversation it encourages when I get going.....

so, there you have it. that's my goal.

hope to add another baby-step next week....

this time last year II...

steph was home for a visit...

friends were helping wash & cut fruit
--and whatever other odd jobs my mom put them up to...

ruthie was painting clothespins for our photo wall...

and dad was starting to thaw the sauce to go with
those yummy meatballs he made!!

It's kind of awesome to relive the moments!!

I really couldn't be more thankful....

(this is also to make up for the blogging I didn't do this-time-last-year:)

Donald Miller's Creator series..

Another blogland go-to... Donald Miller's blog.

What a great series about CREATING!

One of my favorite aspects of well, life, is that we get to play the part of co-creators with God.

From making paintings & poems to making actual BABIES!

What an honor!
(Not that I'm 'there' yet.. just sayin!)

So this final creator-series post stirred me:

A creator focuses, hoes the same land for decades and keeps the soil fertile. He isn’t lazy, he works, every day, moving the plot forward. In addition, a creator actually makes things happen. Creative talk and exploration is not the same as the act of creation. A creator can hold in their hands what they’ve made.... ...
So, I hope that helps. Here are some questions to consider. What do I love to do? Am I good at it, and if not, am I practicing and do I love the practice. And lastly, what am I making. Am I writing a book, painting a series of paintings for a gallery open, pushing songs forward for an album, creating a line of clothes for a fashion show, writing a series of sermons?
Lets go and create.   (read the full post here)

Good words!

What AM I creating??

What are you creating?

Birthday goodness...

What a sweet day yesterday was!

Lots of good Birthday Love from our friends & family!!!

a sunny midday latte' break! ♥

and a meal + his favorite dessert with our Afam!

Just so you know, we're overwhelmed with gratitude and JOY!

Thanks for all the love!

Naptime Diaries: Rooted...

I've been a little behind in blogland lately, but when I catch up on my reading, Naptime Diaries is one of my go-tos..

Love her authenticity and sharpening.

1 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind...
