This book has been another helpful resource in my little precedent study!
(I found it at the NCSU design library so J checked it out for me. Bonus!:)
It led me to discover Julia Margaret Cameron (1815-1879).
She didn't receive her first camera and take up photography until she was 48 and had raised six children! (which I find absolutely inspiring!)
She is commended for her religious, literary, and art depictions as well as the soft focus of her subjects.
In her photography, Cameron strove to capture beauty. She wrote, "I longed to arrest all the beauty that came before me and at length the longing has been satisfied."[4]
Love that. I can totally relate. ♥
