If grace is so free why do I feel like I need to earn it!?
It's unnatural to just receive and not want to give something back- compliment for compliment, dollar for dollar, an eye for an eye, whatever.
But gifts aren't for paying back. When I give Kayla her birthday present next weekend, I don't expect her to say "Thanks! I love it! Here's your $20 back!"
So sometimes leaning into grace for me means accepting what's being freely given -without feeling guilty or burdened to pay back compliment for compliment, gift for gift, or perfection for grace.
