Little ones

There's just something about little ones! If we are willing to listen and learn from them, they will teach us much about life and how to approach it- honestly, fearlessly, unashamedly -with authenticity, candor, and faith. Children are natural believers, hopers, and dreamers. They're natural sinners, forgivers, and helpers too. They're pretty amazing teachers, and I'd be foolish not to lean into having faith like that- unhindered, unapologetic, and simply joyful.

Babysitting...

A big part of feeling at home here in Raleigh for me was making some more small friends. Adults are great and all, but the little ones are my favorite!:)

Baby Lilli has arrived.
Nine pounds & 20 inches of sweet baby girl goodness.
She let me lift and pose and mess with her until she was no longer able to sleep...

And as she looked me in the lens,
I altogether melted.
What a joy!!
And what an honor to get to take her ten-day-old newborn photo.

I saw you

Monday morning I got to walk this sweet kindergartener to class because she came in as the tardy bell rang. Now when she sees me around school she says "I saw you."

And Everytime I see Kevin (from the kindergarten class I subbed last week) he gets a big grin and says "you teach us." And if I happen to get close enough he gives my waist a big bear hug. :)

Love them.

Sayonaras...

These last few weeks have been filled with lots of 'see-ya-laters'.. It's been awesome and oh so sad.

I know this new chapter will bring new friendships and adventures, but I can't help but think of how dearly I'll miss these treasures!!!

So glad it's done.

I feel like we can get back to enjoying our last few weeks at home...(PS- Jeremy has a link to a 'cheat sheet' that really helped. If you ever have to take the NC Driver's test, let me know, we'll gladly share the wealth!!)

Girls' Night Babies...

Lately we've been aiming to have a girls' night at least once per month. 

As if the girl-time wasn't enough, these cuties have filled the space with fun and laughter!

Columbia weekend...

We just enjoyed our second annual Floyd-family weekend thanks to my husband's attendance at the Converge SE conference...

We played ball in the house, swam, and snuggled the sweet Floyd boys in the mornings [while being served coffee & breakfast!!]...


I was also able to work on a Naptime Diaries' family photo-shoot!!

Aaaand we watched the very informative, absolutely life-changing Food Inc. before heading home yesterday!!!


If you eat, ever, I recommend you watch it too. It's that important! Seriously.
(It's on Netflix and quite possibly at your favorite local library!!)

Praying for little ones...

My sister and her friend are away at church camp this week....

They went last year too and loved it.

I pray that more than ever they will see and hear the greatness of our God. 

I pray they realize his big big love for them this week!!

Thankful for each couselor and child there.. 

I pray they come home with a fervor that cannot be snuffed out!!

(They let us email them too.. They print the emails daily and give them to the campers! How cool is that!?)

Thanks for your big love, God. Pour it out on all these little ones!! <3

eventful week...

It's been quite the week around here...

Last weekend was mom's birthday & Kayla's dance recital... (trying on hats at random)

We had our Monday night time with the G-fam...

...aaand the Jordans came by... Kayla wanted to give them a show :)
